The second day of India Beach Fashion Week and Festival 2017 powered by Jeep saw a grand line-up of designers showcasing some cutting edge fashion. The evening witnessed leading Indian designers Shyamal & Bhumika, Sukriti & Aakriti, Lalit Dalmia and a host of other prominent names showcasing their collections.
With all the glamour and fun of high fashion through the day, this evening was also about promoting upcoming designers and supporting the emergence of fresh talent in the industry. A number of graduating young designers from Rachana Sansad- SFTD presented their annual collection at the India Beach Fashion Week. The edition titled – Collection by Rachana Sansad – SFTD was inspired by the delicate summer styles celebrating the dreamy getaway filled with nostalgic memoirs. Designed by 11 top design students, the line featured soft pastel shades of aqua, buttercup, ochre to deep earthy tones and Pantone colour of the year – Greenery.
Packed to capacity, the stunning riverfront venue Goa Marriott Resort & Spa, Panaji provided the perfect setting for a day filled to the brim with the finest designs in an intimate and usurious setting. Designer Lalit Dalmia showcased his line of avant garde designs with a pinch of drama on the ramp by the beach against the backdrop of a stunning sunset. The collection transported the audiences back to the Victorian Era. The event narrated a love story in a beautiful depiction breaking into a tango by the models followed by Mohammed Morani and Lucky Morani stunning the ramp.
Among the many names presenting their designs were designers like Sakshi K. Relan, Gandhian Fab by Amin Farista, Kanvas and Ashok Maanay. One of the highlights of the evening was the collection by Sukriti and Aakriti, with actress Kriti Sanon as the showstopper. Sangeeta Sharma showcased a beautiful collection inspired by the peacock with Richa Chadda stunning the ramp showcasing a beautiful peacock lehenga.
Shyamal & Bhumika showcased a stunning finale with their Destination Bride Collection. The collection was inspired by a cheerful spring mood evocative of blooming flowers and fragrant winds.
Over the last three seasons, IBFW has successfully created a niche in destination wear segment by capturing the hearts & minds of the most Inspired & Stylish audience from India and across the globe.
