Amazon India Fashion Week autumn winter trend 2018 began on 14th March and as usual fashion professionals of the city seemed totally excited about it. In these few years, AIFW has evolved to be one of the best and most critically acclaimed fashion shows in the country. The best part of this fashion event is that it gives a platform to the budding designers to make a mark in the fashion world. Along with these budding designers, the well-established designers also showcase their latest designs in the event. From the recent AIFW AW 2018 show, here are our top favourites look on which we are crushing on. #LetItPret

1. The Ode to Black

We are in love with this trend by Samant Chauhan. This is an ode to black by the designers. They celebrated the absence of colour in the world through their clothes. They went to present an entire black look on the runway for the first time ever. From the black dresses to black trench coats to black lowers, they showcased their talent in the best way.

2. The Bright Tribe

Anupama Dayal is said to be the queen of quirk with her designs and patterns. Her latest collection was all about pinks, reds, yellows and oranges. It was all about ruffles, colourful patterns, prints and cuts in her outfits. The colour attack was amazing and made it to our top favourites.

3. Serene Pantsuit Vibes

Pantsuits were obviously for the winters but they are here to stay for the springs. These contemporary pantsuits with a twisted tale of ease are what was presented by Abrahamand Thakore in his latest collection. The use of soft khakis and creams in the colour palette was a touch of serenity.

4. Hello, Abstract Prints

Prints on prints is a trend that we are swearing on since the time it became popular. We are all hearts for this trend. Saaj by Ankita is a fashion label which showcased their collection with different prints and colours. The designer co-ordinated the outfits with the similar prints for their pantsuit trend, co-ordinates and dresses.

5. Saree with the Details

Malini Ramani presented her resort collection at AIFW AW 2018. We loved the details on the saree be it the fringes on the hemline, haphazard stripes, capes, waist belts and two-toned ombre effect, all were perfect. We liked it because it was neutral yet dramatic in the ‘detailed’ way.

6. Let the Oracle Speak

The outfits and the trends on the runway must be dramatic enough to catch the viewers attention just like this outfit. Sanskaar is a fashion label by Sonam Dubal where she displayed classic outfits with the touch of oversized capes to add the dramatic feel to the whole outfit. We want this trend to stay.

7. The Pearl Academy Show

One of our favourite picks from the AIFW AW 2018 collection was by The Pearl Academy. Their signature style is what we love the most. The minimal colours along with modern edge vibes in their outfits are their forte. And if you think they are all subtle and sober, check out their glitters and bling.

8. Some Indian Artform Prints

One of our top favourites from the AIFW AW 2018 show was the collection by Aarti Vijay Gupta. She brought twists to the Desi Gond artform with her own creations. A contemporary touch was given to the prints in a modern way. The colour palette for the collection was uber chic and so summer related.

9. For the Love of Velvets

Shyamal and Bhumika presented their collection which was all out of velvet courtesy. The ethnic outfits were all with a velvet touch. One could easily see the Parisian vibes coming from the fabrics and outfits. Diana Penty was the showstopper for them.

10. Please, Not so Serious

Pallavi Mohan’s label Not so Serious is all about trending and chic outfits where one can see a lot of colours and styles. This time her high-end fashion was all about sequins, feathers, fringers and sheer fabrics which we loved totally.

11. High End Drama

Vaani Kapoor opens the show for Gauri and Nainika in a white gown. Well, the gown was exquisite and sheer sexy. The ruffled drama at the top part settled smoothly with the basic sheer lower part. This is the beauty which was well balanced and Vaani aced it like a pro.
