Foods items to prevent white hair

Aging is a natural process. As we tun old the pigment cells slow down starts working slowly leading to less melanin in our hair. As a result, the cuticles start deteriorating and turn grey. Noone can avoid those grey hair caused by old age, but what about those grey hair caused by stress and modern lifestyle?  Generally, it should start after 40  unless you have a certain ‘grey hair’ gene in the family.  Nowadays people are complaining a lot about the grey hair at an early stage.

We know to see the appearance of your first white strand was scary,  hence today we are here to help you.  It is always better to focus on natural and long-lasting ways.  Dietitians have suggested so many hair-loving items for maintaining long black hair. All the food items will give you necessary vitamins, minerals and more to chase away the grey.

 

Walnuts

Walnuts are rich in copper which is crucial in melanin production. This way melanin production will increase giving your hair its natural pigment.

 Prawns

This seafood is high in zinc. Now Zinc, in turn, helps to keep natural color in your hair. If you don’t like prawns go for other shellfish. In case you are vegetarian try seeds and cheese.

Apple Cider Vinegar

This one works well by balancing the pH levels in your scalp. Just two to three tablespoons of apple cider vinegar will prevent premature graying of hair. Dilute it with water and consume it to improve vitamin and mineral circulation to the hair follicles.

Another way is to add a few drops of apple cider vinegar into your shampoo or hair conditioner. This will make your hair softer and stronger.

Broccoli

It is rich in folic acid which is important for healthy hair.  Also, green vegetables are generally rich in vital vitamins and minerals lack can cause premature greying. Other healthy vegetable options are asparagus, beans, and peas.

Smoothie

If you don’t like eating green veggies then make a green smoothie. Vegetables like cabbage, celery, and spinach are ideal to make drinks. Drink it every morning for healthy hair follicles.

Spirulina

This blue-green algae is a big source of protein and essential minerals, vitamins and amino acid. Its intake prevents grey hair. Ideally one should take 1-3 grams each day. You can either take it in a tablet form. Another way is to mix a small spoonful of spirulina powder into a glass of water or juice.

Amla

It is a very ancient and well-known food ingredient in India which is used against hair problems. It is citrus (Rich in Vitamin C) & has antioxidants which make the hair shiny and strong. It is used as a primary ingredient in many hair oils. Other Citrus fruits such as oranges are also rich in vitamin C.

While the above-mentioned food items prevent white hair. There is a number of other items which might intrigue your premature white hair is not stopped.

Oily and fried food

Start a healthy food eating habit by reducing the intake of fried and greasy foods. This will keep your digestive system working smoothly.

Refined sugar

Eating refined sugar speeds up the aging process. Start looking for alternatives like honey or maple syrup or any other items slow in refined sugar. This will greatly reduce your hair turning greyer.

Smoke or alcohol

One of the major reason for smoking and alcohol addicts. If you want to stop your aging process,  start making efforts to stop this habit.
