DAY 1: Amazon India fashion week spring summer 2016

One of the biggest fashion events of the country, The Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016, in association with Maybelline New York, took off yesterday in the capital city New Delhi at NSIC ground. Since the Wills-FDCI separation last year, Amazon India is the new collaborating partner of FDCI, which brings the work of the most prominent designers and fresh talents of the country to one great event. This year too, the event will be showcasing some of the major designers along with the budding designers. The show starting from October 7 will end on October 11. This is going to be one hell of an event and five days of total bliss in the corridors of fashion. And we here at India Fashion Blogger would try our best to keep you updated on the fashion week, with whole story and the lowdown of the event coming up each day of the fashion week.

Raw Mango’s Sanjay Garg inaugurated the Amazon India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2016 in a full swing. It was also his debutant show in Delhi ramp diaries. The designer showcased his collection titled “Mashru” in a rather different way. All the arrangements from the décor to music were very interesting and different from what we generally see at fashion shows.

The designer opted for floral decoration hanging from ceilings, a rectangular ramp instead of long ramp and an unconventional form of music ditching all those clichéd computerized playlists.  Talking of collection, all of his 45 garments were created in fuss free, clean silhouettes. The collection revolved around the fabric Mashru, which he revived in 2011. Collection displayed ready to wear garments in rich hues of pink, blue, red and greens, which is a daring attempt for summers.

The collection focused on Sarees with earthy warm colours and tone down shades draped nicely to give a minimalistic flavor to the summers. This is one perfect summer savvy collection.

Designer Vineet Bahl scattered the waves of fluidity all over the AIFW SS 2016 with his “Looking Glass Collection”. The collection based on the concept fluidity did present some brilliant androgynous yet feminine silhouettes in the shades of blue, yellow, pink teamed with whites. The collection focused on floral looks that depicted feminism and over-sized strong looks representing gender fluidity.

Rabani and Rakha presented minimal color pallets, mostly white teamed with 3D glittery work. Box blouses, sheer lehengas with pearl detailing got us eye popping on the collection. All the looks from the show came out to be very feminine, chic and elegant.

Kavita Bhartia presented an impeccable collection in pastel hues at AIFW SS 2016. All the designs were perfect summer party with gold and nude tones, cross stich embroidery and asymmetric patterns.
