Hello Lovely People!

It’s such a lovely day here in Goa and I have decided to take a stroll down the city. I will be visiting a few markets and designer stores. I can’t wait to go to pop-up shops in South Goa, the kind of creativity one finds in Goa’s pop up shops is not seen anywhere else in India and I cannot hold my excitement. 😀

Well talking of creativity and designer clothes, did you see Anupama Dayal’s collection at GIBFW Season 2 yet? No, then you must now! Anupama Dayal opened the Gionee India Beach Fashion Week Season 2 with her collection dedicated to free spirited bride and Man! Like always I was smitten by her collection. Since 2004, when Anupama Dayal started her label ‘Anupamaa’, she specializes in resort wear and earned a name on international fashion plenary. Vogue UK declared one of her fall winter collection at Lakme Fashion Week as “Easily the prettiest” and also denoted her as London’s best friend. Her collections at various fashion weeks have been voted as standouts by various fashion veterans and fashion magazine. Isn’t that amazing!

Anupama Dayal is one of the few designers who interpret the Indian soul into International designs; this amalgamation of different culture spreads magic on the runway. She is known to diversify her collection at the same time giving tribute to her roots. I was so excited for her opening show at GIBFW that I reached the venue an hour early for I didn’t want to miss a single minute of her show and I tell you the collection was worth the effort. So many beautiful beach wears to take inspiration from and with that, the lovely accessories that her models donned, I could not get my eyes off them. Let’s give you a brief lowdown of Anupama Dayal show here, so that you too can take inspiration from her. 🙂

She showcased a stunning collection “Swayamvar”, dedicated to free spirited bride, who is entitled to make her own choices when it comes to her wedding outfits. The collection splendidly presented collection which is timeless and comfortable for all wedding and pre-post wedding celebrations. Simple silhouettes in floral inspired by colours of sky and sea were treat to eyes.  My favorite piece form the show is the floral saree drape worn with a bikini; such indo-fusion look is all on my list this season. Layered Maxi gowns, relaxed salwar suits and flowy skirts were the highlights of the show. But one thing that stole the show was the way Anupama Dayal had accessorized her models, braided hair buns, tassel earrings and peppy footwear got everyone eye popping on the collection. How beautifully every single detail was taken care of is really remarkable.

Truly declared by Vogue UK, Anupama designs are easily the prettiest and I can’t resist taking inspiration from her Swyamvar collection, so I am going shopping! Who else is? 😀
