The 5 day fashion extravaganza, Amazon India Fashion Week Autumn Winter 2016 was given a curtain closer on March 20^th and if you have a slightest of idea what AIFW AW 2016 presented on first four days, you would know that it meant to make the grand finale even more star studded, more glamorous, more fashionable and most of all more INDIAN! And did they do it right? I dun know if that’s even a legit question now! 😀

Well, grand finale of AIFW AW 2016 saw coming together of fashion designers like Rahul Mishra, Pankaj and Nidhi, Samant Chauhan, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Anju Modi, Abraham and Thakore, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Amit Aggarwal and Aneeth Arora to present a theme so relevant to modern society and present scenario of fashion, India Modern. The vision was to present clothing that unifying tradition with modernity by the way of creating a blend of mix and match. The textiles were traditional and their draping style was modern, that’s how our designers envisioned #IndiaModern! All the designs were fabulously created showing contemporary and Indian together, bringing out the best of best collection!

And did I mention the electrifying ambience of the show? Well it was something I had never seen before! The show was personalized (or I would say glamorized) to fit the splendor of creations. The oh-so-grand decoration enchanting the runway with long light hanging form the roof to lit-up the gold and pristine white runway which graced the designers presence. And the cherry on the cake was the light music playing in the background instead of regular runway playlist. Songwriter and composer, Kavya Tehran’s band stole the show when playing live for different designers amidst the show. It was a scene that is treat to eyes and senses and surely wouldn’t be forgotten for a long while! <3
