Review: VedaEarth Relaxing Bath Salt starring Geranium and Patchouli

Hello Loves!
As you all know I only review products I deeply believe in and personally use hence not loads of reviews on my our blog but today I am so excited to share with you my insights on Relaxing Bath Salt from VedaEarth. I personally love their essential oils and when I got a chance to review their bath salts and handmade soap I thought why not! VedaEarth specializes in blending Ayurveda with Aromatherapy in their products. They have an exotic range of essential oils, masks, handmade soaps and much more. I like their products because other than being ayurvedic and natural, they are also 100% vegan.

Let’s get to the review!

The product I am reviewing today is a RELAXING BATH SALT starring Geranium and Patchouli.

Description: Feeling tired? We recommend take a relaxing bath. Let our relaxing bath salts dissolve away all your tiredness. The exotic salts and essential oils will surely relax your body and mind. Also your senses. We can’t create a hammock for the mind, but it is pretty close to it.

Composition: (per 100 gm) Himalayan pink salt 15 gm, Olive seed 5ml, Patchouli Leaf 2ml, Geranium leaf 2ml. Also contain Epsom Salt, Dead Sea Salt and Approved colours to Q.S.

Price: 315 Rs for 150 gm, but I got it for 250 Rs as a sale is going on there site.

Direction: Add 30 gm to a bucket/tub of warm water and use for bathing. Avoid using soap to ensure the essential oils work their magic throughout the day.

My Take: I was much psyched about using this product as I have never used a bath salt before and really wanted to try out one. If we go by the description we will know it is a relaxing bath salt so best to test it when you’re tired. The bath salt claims to be composed of really impressive and interesting products. I was so glad to see Himalayan pin salt and Dead Sea salt in the list, all natural and no synthetic salts. Coming to main ingredients, it has Patchouli and Geranium. Now those who don’t know what patchouli is, it’s an ayurvedic herb and has been used for centuries to treat different ailments. The herb can be used as anti-depressant, anti-odor, anti-phlogistic, aphrodisiac, cicatrisant etc. For Geranium, it is hugely used in Aromatherapy and has amazing properties to treat acne, reduce inflammation and anxiety etc. So in all the bath salt is a good mix of natural body relaxing ingredients.

Coming to the packaging, it comes in a transparent glass jar with a rubber seal cap. I really liked the packaging as the jar is sturdy and you can see how much product is left in the jar but it is a little less travel friendly.

When you open the jar you get an intense citrus flowery fragrance and one can easily tell from the fragrance that it is an ayurvedic products. The fragrance readily alleviates once dissolved in the water and leaves an aromatic fresh and light fragrance.

I dissolved about 30 gm of salt as directed for 10 minutes in a bucket full of water. The water turned into a beautiful shade of blue. While bathing it gives a fresh feel something like you are taking an ayurvedic spa treatment. The aroma clams down the mind and eases the body.

After the bath I felt so rejuvenated and fresh that I want to use it again in a bath tub. The aroma of essential oils lingered a long time on my skin and I loved every bit of it. If you want to can also put in a bucket and soak your feet in it for a calming pedicure treatment. It will definitely relax your tired feet. If you want to indulge in something ayurvedic and relaxing, this is the product for you!

I really liked this product and my all over ranking is 4.5/5 for this bath salt.

Will I re-use this product? – Definitely!

So far, so good! I am really impressed with the bath salt!

And watch this space for more reviews (hopefully) and a lot more style inspiration! Until then xoxo!
