What to wear at Mehendi Ceremony!

We are back with a new post on #Bridesmaid Lookbook, your one stop guide for the wedding dressing. Today I am spilling out details on the Mehendi Dressing.

Now hubby and I, both decided to do complimenting outfits on Mehendi so it was quite a task to find outfits for both of us. I wanted to wear something green obviously but not the clichéd Henna green but a fresh variant of green. After trying a lot of outfit I finally had my heart set on this beautiful mint green Reja outfit By Daksh Fashion. It is a lovely mint green Anarkali with a pop of yellow and pink. I loved the prints on the outfit the time I saw it, so quirky and fresh! And since it was a day function again I didn’t want to go overboard and wanted to keep my outfit light and fun.

What made this outfit even more suitable that Gaurav got a similar mint green Reja Angarkha with yellow embroidery inspired by painting in Haryana. I like his outfit more than I like mine. 😛 Also he does not do traditional often so it was a refreshing change to see him wear something different.

Coming to jewellery, I didn’t want to go overboard so I wore these gorgeous statement earrings from Mine of Design. I love statement jewellery, it’s always better to wear one eye-catching piece rather than tons of jewellery. I really like this one piece from their collection; it’s so fun and contemporary. You guys should check their page, they have a ton of new-age, funky, beautiful contemporary jewellery.

For make-up, I chose to keep it subtle and simple considering it a day function. So my signature kohled eyes, light pink lip-color to compliment the dress and a little green bindi (obsessed with bindis lately) 😀
