“For some people fashion week lasts all year”

So the biggest summer party on the ramp is still going on and we are here again to give you the lowdown of Day 4 at Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2016, as we promised. The day was star studded with names like Shraddha Kapoor, Lisa Haydon, Siddharth Malhotra etc as show stoppers for various designers and names like Arjun Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha and Mira Rajput as guests among others. And not to forgot special launch show “Doubt is out” demolishing all the clichés of life, for Reliance Trend online portal Ajio.com. Let’s take a look what it looked like on Day 4 Lakme Fashion Week 2016.

If we talk about summery prints, the one name that pops out first is Masaba Gupta! No print party is complete without her! This time she presented an exquisite collection with had chilli and garlic print as the focus prints. Shraddha Kapoor closed the show wearing an elegant black piece with sheer designing while Meera Rajput sat in the front row to cheer for the designer.

Talking of resort wear and not let Shivan and Narresh spread their magic, how can it be possible. 😀 Well yet again the duo graced the runway with brilliantly made resort ready gowns and dresses. Taking inspiration from a French artist Fernand Leger, Shivan and Narresh inculcated many abstract print combined with leather brocade to rise up the shimmer. Cut-outs, halter necks, crystal and gems were the USP of the show!

Kunal Rawat is an undoubted choice when it comes to Bollywood fashion. The boys in Bollywood love him, so much so that Sidharth Malhotra closed the show and Mohit Marwah and Arjun Kapoor came cheering for the designer. This collection showcased some clean pleats, mono-tone work, pin-tucks and everything a guy would love for summer!

If there’s one show that literally took our breath away at Day 4 was Arjun Saluja’s collection. Man what we saw at the show was more inspiring than fascinating. The whole collection was about the underprivileged who wants to break the shackles and this was shown by the models struggling in the rope held around them. And not to forget all that combined by his exquisite tailoring, clean lines and impressive silhouettes.

Monisha jaising got the bling party on, on the fourth day of fashion week. Again her collection was literally star-studded as she showcased the collection filled star cutouts. Golden gowns, white shirt and shirt-dresses, chocolate brown separates with star cut-outs, this collection has got us eye-popping. Oh and did I mention Lisa Haydon closed the show looking sexy in her golden star studded gown! We are head over heels!

Do you want to see what summer color blocking really looks like? Then you are in for a treat, as Payal Khandwala presents a collection which is an established epitome of color blocking. Her sense of drapes and silhouettes paired with bold color blocked made this collection as summer treat. White with yellow-greens, mustard with blush, pink with red ruled the runway with flowy drapes.
