Lately I have been consumed and obsessed by the caption “Life in Goa” 😛 because I am living the Goa life to the fullest and I am L-O-V-I-N-G every bit of it and (obviously) you are gonna see more of it on my blog. 😀 New culture, new people, new adventure, I am trying to soak everything in and with that I try to put everything on the canvas through my blog for you to read and discover the beautiful place that Goa is! 😀 So today I bring you the most dynamic, the most hip, the most appreciated side of Goa, world-renowned, very popular flea markets of Goa! So whatcha waiting for? 😀 Read on now!
- Arpora Saturday Night Market!!!
Now if there’s one flea market that has got it all, it has to be Arpora Flea Market. This is the place where you can shop crazily, dance till you drop, eat endlessly and do it all, all-night! The market is a short ride away from Northern Beaches and held every Saturday up late in the night. The market is visited by so many people every Saturday that at even 3 o clock in the night you won’t feel like it’s already 3. But that’s not its USP, yes there’s more! 😀 This is the best place to get international and local stuff including clothes, bags, shoes, handicrafts, leather items and what not! I bought so many things form here that you couldn’t think of finding in India (Dresses, bags and much more). You can also enjoy amazing food here topped up with Goan music, watching people dancing and may be yourself shaking a leg! 😀
- Calangute Market!!!
This is one another Saturday market that is as famous as Arpora market but it’s not that of a shopper’s paradise. Though you find amazing bargain deals on beach dresses and cover-ups, this place offers more in terms of food and handicrafts. Buy anything from here, be it daily need things like (groceries, fish, meat), luxury items (handicrafts, textile, carpets), you will get everything at throw-away prices. So yea, a cool market for smart shoppers!
- Anjuna Wednesday Flea Market!!!
Anjuna Flea market held every Wednesday is also among the top-rated flea markets of Goa. You can buy almost everything from here, books, clothes, spices, carpets, souvenirs, you name it and you get it here. But the most amazing part of the market is the Tibetan market, where you can shop endlessly for souvenirs, handicrafts, painting, jwellery and you can also dig into delicious Tibetan food! 😀 But beware of touts, if you don’t want to spend money on irrelevant things!
- The Mackies!!!
The name itself suggest how cool is this market is! If you are a souvenir digger or love collecting high quality handicraft, then you must visit here! Held on banks of River Baga, on Arpora Baga Road, this place offers plenty of handicrafts, pottery, brasswares and everything vintage. And did I mention all that come with entertainment in the form of live Goan music and dance? 😀
- Mapusa Friday Market!!!
Last on my list is this happening market just 10 min away from Calangute, which is held every Friday. Now this is the must visit market of Goa! You ask why? Because while selling all the regular stuff (like clothes, handicraft, souvenir that is being sold in other flea markets) it sell the exotic port wines! Yes! 😀 You can also buy n-number of Goan local delicacies form here, be it sweets like dost, chokros, mangad or goan speicla sausages and meat, marinated in local brews, it’s a PARADISE for foodies! Also go shop some spices form there and your kitchen would thank me from rest of its life! 😛
Guys that’s all for today, but I will be back soon with more “Life in Goa” posts. 😀 so stay tuned and stay sexy!
