“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.” -Marcus Aurelius
Hey Folks!
I am in Delhi again after what seems like the longest time, though it’s just been 2 months. 😛 Waking to wonderful wintery Delhi mornings, with Sun a little bright and a chill in the air, is what I miss the most being in Goa. Goa is incomparable in its own sense but for a person who has lived in Delhi for a considerable time, Delhi remains the bestest place in the world. <3 Enough of philosophy! 😀 and I would give you a peekaboo of my life post my traumatic accident. In my last post I told you guys I am all set to embrace the celebrations as many weddings are round the corner. Now when I have attended the wedding and we all literary set the house on fire celebrating, I am here to give you a quick lowdown of my look for this wedding in my family.
I visited Delhi for a cousin’s wedding and I was very excited because hey, wedding means celebration, celebration means dressing up and dressing up requires lot of new clothes and Voila! new clothes means shopping! 😀 What could be a better therapy for reeling out other than shopping! So my planning for the clothes didn’t start too early as I always do, rather I had to put together 3 different looks for 3 different occasions in quite a hurry. Today I will give you quick details of my day one look. After not much thinking I decided I would don a Dhoti-pants and crop top for day one celebrations as they have been my favorite outfit choice for wedding season for a while now. Indo western look of Dhoti pants are super sassy and fit in the wedding attires perfectly. While thinking for a match for dhoti pants, crop tops are absolute no brainers. Crop tops make dhoti pants look even more sassy while giving the full view of the outfit, long kurta too make a good combination for dhoti pants but its someone’s wedding and I cant afford to look nothing but super sexy. 😀
Long before finalizing on my dhoti pants I had an idea what kinda crop top I want to wear and I have been following Ridhi Mehra collection for the same, this Delhi designer brings together a mix of ethnic and contemporary so well that you could not take your eyes off her collection. So I picked a pink-peach pastel crop top from her collection and the task in hand was to find dhoti pants. I didn’t have to search much for dhoti pants as I already knew what I wanted and thus Ridhima Bhasin’s dhoti pants came into the picture. This off-white cream dhoti pants compliments my crop top perfectly and together they make a good team. Yayy! Win-win. 😀
So outfit done, now time to accessorize. I kept my accessories all ethnic by adding ethnic earrings and a bunch of bangle to the look, my mantra is to let the outfit do the talking. This minimalistic look is all I wanted to adorn. After checking in with all essentials I had to decide on the final stage that’s the hair and make-up. Again minimalistic came into the picture and I went for light eye make-up and bold lips with messy hairstyle. If you have read my previous post you already know I am a lipstick savvy person and that’s probably my favorite thing to apply on, so bold lips look was an obvious choice. I was very happy when I got ready and saw the whole look falling together as I envisioned, nothing feels like an organized look. 😀 Here is my selfie –
So this is all from me today, I will write again pretty soon on my look for day 2 and meanwhile tell me in the comment below what’s your favorite look for the wedding season and what do you think of my look.
Till next post stay beautiful stay sexy. <3
