LE DEFILE Loreal Paris Fashion Week 2021

This year was the 50th anniversary of L’oreal Paris. They celebrated in a lavishly empowered way at PFW on October 3rd, 2021. We say ‘lavishly empowered’ because of the strong theme that they envisioned and portrayed at the show. L’oreal being an official partner of PFW, hosted a public runway show at the Parvis des Droits de l’Homme. It is an iconic and symbolic site in Paris. The LE DEFILE Loreal Paris Fashion Week 2021 was a major hit.

The spot is important for the Parisian people because it holds historical significance. It was the spot where the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was first adopted. The panoramic view of the Eiffel Tower made everything ten times better for global audiences. The view of the LE DEFILE Loreal Paris Fashion Week 2021 was breathtaking. I mean, of course, Paris and Eiffel Tower go hand in hand.

Concept of LE DEFILE Loreal Paris Fashion Week 2021

Now, the concept of the LE DEFILE Loreal Paris Fashion Week 2021 was strongly and solely dedicated to women. They designed their 4th edition of LE DEFILE Loreal Paris Fashion Week 2021 towards women empowerment. The concept was “Stand Up Against Street Harassment”. This program aimed to educate people on how to fight back any kind of street harassment. It also aimed to empower women on how to walk on the streets without any fear. The fear could be harassment, eve-teasing, or judgment.

It was the 50th anniversary of L’oreal serving as the global beauty brand this year. Their golden jubilee turned iconic because of their concept of the year. L’oreal slogan’s ‘because I am worth it’ has already been making women feel special for ages now.

Their ‘feminine and feminist’ statement made a stronger remark in the show that made everyone go in awe of it.

Through this, L’oreal made it pretty evident that it is feminine and of course a feminist brand. They aim to engrave a universal thought in the minds of all women. The thought to believe in their sense of worth irrespective of their age or origin.

However, the outreach program of L’oreal “Stand Up Against Street Harassment” began in 2020 and is present in over 20 countries now.

Iconic women to walk at LE DEFILE PFW 2021

Some of the renowned women from all across the globe walked the ramp of this show like Camila Cabello, Cindy Bruna, Soo Joo Park, Amber Heard, Aja Naomi King, Liya Kebede, Luma Grothe, Nikolaj Coster Waldau, and of course our very own Indian queen Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The show “Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris” was embraced by beauty and fashion with a sense of feminism shared on a global stage.

Apart from these iconic women, the other people who embraced the show were 20 dancers and performers and a cast of 26 international spokespeople. They broadcasted the show in 30 countries.

Aishwarya’s and L’oreal’s connection is quite old and it was quite obvious for the brand to make her walk the ramp and include her in the list of most iconic women from across the globe.

Aishwarya is one of the biggest global icons of the world and there were high expectations from her of course. And boy, did she live par well to the expectations of the people! She looked royal, graceful as always, and vivacious as she walked the ramp for the Le Défilé L’Oréal Paris fashion week 2021.

She was a vision in white to behold for life when she graced the ramp at Parvis des Droits de l’Homme with a backdrop of the Eiffel Tower. The tinsel town diva wore a white ensemble with a statement draping style.

Let’s break down her ensemble for you all. She wore a basic white full-sleeved top layered with a pleated gown that had a statement drape.

With her hair open in beautiful beachy waves and soft pink lips, her makeup was quite muted that made her look ultra graceful. For eye makeup, she went for shimmery winged eyes that complimented her makeup.

She completed her look with white heels. It was a perfectly styled minimalistic look. While she walked the ramp, she flaunted her outfit in the most significant way to grab the eyes of the audience.

Or we could say she walked the ramp in casual Aish’s panache that she is known for. We weren’t there to hold this sight but we can assure you that she definitely might have skipped hundreds of hearts over there.

Feminism at PFW 2021

After having walked individually on the ramp, the queens united to make a collective appearance where they all cheered for each other and for themselves. All the women stood together as the L’oreal Paris Family as feminine and feminist women who celebrated all the women across the world.

The women at the show showcased the spring/summer 2022 women’s wear collection at PFW.

Along with this year, Aishwarya is known for her longtime collaboration with Loreal and she has stunned people with various gorgeous appearances at the Paris Fashion Week. Aishwarya surely has turned eyeballs towards her through this fashion show from across the world.
