“It’s not a cocktail dress unless it’s sparkling.”
Hey Folks!
I am here again, documenting all my fashion whereabouts. How are you all? And how are you celebrating this wedding season? 😀 As I write this post I can’t hold my excitement, I am prepping up wardrobe with some fun filled new clothes for yet another wedding. I have attended a wedding lately but I still feel deficit of clothes, pheww a life of a fashionista is indeed hard. 😛 I do plan to reuse wedding collection I already have but buying two or more pieces of that unforeseen jeopardy is never a bad idea. 😉 But before I head to online surfing to look for new peppy clothes, I would leave you with this post to read all about my new found love, this pretty metallic gown from Laundry by Shelli Segal!
I wore this beauty to a pre-wedding celebration party and I am quite sure the dress turned a lot of heads. (yayya! Height of obsession) 😛  Though I had a very less time on my hands to decide for the outfit for the pre-wedding cocktail party, I was still adamant to splurge on a piece I hadn’t already have in my wardrobe. I was eyeing on Shelli Segal collection for a long time and I was planning to buy a piece for some nice occasion, so I thought what could be a better time to buy this dress than this. I won’t lie I also needed an excuse to get my hands on this beauty, so guilty as charged. 😛
About this dress, this is a very nicely made metallic one shoulder gown, with a thigh high split. I chose this gown out of all Shelli Segal collection because its metallic, that’s high on trend this fall and I hadn’t bought any such piece lately. I admit this piece fits me like skin. <3 I paired this dress gold block heel sandals and a cute black wrist candy. I feel over accessorizing the look takes back attention from the dress, so minimal accessories for this one.  Now for the make-up, again I went with bold lips. If you know about my obsession with bold lips you would understand why red lips. 😀 I applied MAC ruby woo on my lips and kept my eye make-up very basic to draw all the attention on that lip color, so I used just the eyeliner and mascara both from MAC. Actually the beauty of this dress is such I didn’t feel like adding anything extra to this beautiful piece. I went with my basic routine of primer-foundation-concealer to prep up skin then the lips and eye make-up. To finish up the look I curled my hair into natural beach waves and they gave a little oomph to my already glamour dress. I love how the bold lips made a statement and how well it complemented the dress, totally in awe. <3
I shall leave now for my surfing and you shall see me with another wedding outfit lookbook soon. Till then tell me in the comments below what do you think of this dress and also, read about my Crop top- Dhoti pants look if you haven’t already, here’s the link- Indo-Western Look in Ridhi Mehra Crop Top and Ridhima Bhasin Dhoti Pants.
