5 DIY Hair Masks You Owe To Your Hair!

It’s time for a sheer reality check. Your hair are the default prominence of your elegance. They undergo the burn and the pull to make you look pretty, endure the pollution and get blamed for being dull when in reality there is absolutely nothing that they can naturally do; they’re dead cells and yet sticking to your body! (Be grateful!) It’s about time that we ladies step up and protect those luscious locks of strands and return our hair the favour that we owe them. Here are some of the natural hair masks that you can enjoy at home.

1-SWEET COCONUT HAIR MASK


From dry hair to brittle nails, coconut oil has got your back. The luscious oils rich in nutrients are what our hair need on an everyday basis. Honey is a great ingredient for retaining the moisture in hair and preventing hair fall due to its high sugar content. It also smoothens and softens the hair. This mask will restore the lost moisture and luscious shine back, softening it alongside.What You’ll Need: 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil and 1 Tablespoon of Honey (1:1 ratio)
Directions: Mix all the ingredients and heat up until melted. Apply in hair from top to bottom and cover with a shower cap or a poly bag and rinse after 15 to 30 minutes.

2-YOLK HAIR MASK


Eggs are rich in Vitamins A, D, and E, proteins and fatty acids, which help retain the lustre and shine in your hair. Olive Oil has always been considered a great natural conditioner – it also blesses the user with soft and shiny hair. It’s a great ingredient for preventing weak hair and split ends. Coconut milk is a natural hair repairer. It nourishes the hair by giving it the moisture it years for and acts as a natural hair detangler. Lemon is one of the best solutions for an oily scalp because it is an excellent oil absorbent. The vitamin C in it cleanses the hairWhat You’ll Need: – 1 Egg, 1 Cup of Coconut Milk (you can extract it by blending the coconut flesh with water and sieve out the liquid), 1 Lemon (Juice) and 2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil
Directions: Crack the egg and beat it until smooth. Mix the remaining ingredients and massage the mixture into the scalp. Leave it for 15 to 20 minutes and rinse.

3-YOGURT HAIR MASK


Yoghurt is a rich moisturiser that returns lost nourishment and moisturises the locks beyond belief.
What You’ll Need: – Olive oil and honey in equal amount – 1 Tablespoon, a quarter cup of plain yoghurt.
Directions: You know the ritual – mix, apply thoroughly, let it sit for 30 minutes, wash your hair.

4-STRAWBERRY HAIR MASK

This mask is essential for the oily scalp as it will remove the excess oil and dirt, leaving your hair glossy.
What You’ll Need: – 6-8 Fresh Strawberries, 1 Tablespoon of honey and a tablespoon of Honey
Directions: Blend the strawberries and mix the remaining ingredients. Apply evenly to damp hair and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water.

5-OILY HAIR MASK

This mask is a must for dry and frizzy hair. This includes a generous blend of three essential oils which will collectively restore the lost nourishment and smooth out the dry locks.
What You’ll Need: – Equal amounts of castor oil, olive oil,  and almond oil
Directions: Mix and apply evenly throughout the hair. Heat the oil before applying if you want. Let it sit for 30 to 45 mins. Wash your hair and leave it to dry.
