“Life is beautiful, dress accordingly.”
Dressing up for fashion weeks is one of the few tasks that leaves me both exhilarated and perplexed. Exhilarated, to witness the amazing collections of uber talented designers and to catch up with the fashionable people from all parts of the country, perplexed, to find the perfect dress from tons of clothes, pairing it up with the comfy shoes for frolicking around and of course accessorizing the lovely dress. But as they say dressing the part is a difficult art and those who enjoy it are the masters. 😀
Going to the fashion weeks for 3 years now, I feel less perplexed and more excited. Lately I went to the AIFWSS 2016 and as you have seen in my previous post the event was nothing less than spectacular. Today I will be sharing with you what I wore to the event, how I stylized the whole look and a lot more. So to know my style mantra, read on.
DAY 1
Day 1 of the any fashion week is always the most exciting day, excitement to reach to the venue, for the shows to start and what not. Preparation for the day started a night earlier, when after incessant thoughts I picked up a red plaid shirt dress that I bought from Globus recently. Shirt dresses have become my thing lately, you shall see a blog post on How to Stylize a Shirt Dress in Different Ways soon. 😀  To match my shirt dress, I paired it up my new found love <3, my gladiators sandals from Forever 21, take my word and try gladiator sandals this season if you haven’t already, they are the hush lush street style this season. I carried a black Lavie bag to go with the dress and shoes perfectly. I will put down the link below for the similar pairs of my outfits and accessories. Coming to the make-up, I started off with my daily routine of CTM (cleansing toning moisturizing), followed by the base for the face, primer-foundation-concealer-compact. I use MAC for base for the face, you can use anything that suits your skin type. Further I primped up eyes with kaajal, liner and mascara and to give lovely glow to my lips I used a red lipstick, that too from MAC. Between all the hustle bustle of dressing up I found a new way to play with my hair, I used the belt of my shirt dress as a hair knot to tie up my hair and lemme tell you it looked super-chic, thinking outta box always help in the time of crisis anyway. 😛

DAY 2
Second day of the fashion week was kind of hectic running errands and making to the venue on time but nonetheless I got my rocker chic swag on by wearing a leather skirt, leather boots and a cute blue crop top. I kept my look rather simple on day 2, I followed the same make-up routine that I did on day 1, just on day 2 I changed the shade of my lipstick to a shade complimenting my dress and add a bit of drama to my eyes my lots of mascara. I believe there always must be one stand out accessory in your entire look that could speak for itself and I am very fond of unconventional accessories, you might have seen me wearing a lots of arm candies, belly chain in my previous post so picking up one unconventional piece was obvious, I chose thigh chain to wear with my dress, to glam up my simple look.  To go with the look I added blue earrings and lots of waves to my hair. Here are links to similar Leather Skirt, Crop Top and Black Boots.
DAY 3
Day 3 at AIFWSS 2016 turned out to be terrific for me! I went to the event wearing a black spaghetti top teamed up with grey blazer and a pair of pink shorts. Saying by experience of these long 4 years, one should always bring a blazer or anything to fashion shows, to wrap around themselves as it can get really cold inside the venue during shows. I went to the venue with a very light make-up with just liner and kajal on my eyes and tad of base for my face as Maybelline New York organized a make-up corner for all the guests to get themselves pampered and I found a very good friend to get my make-up and hair done, Sheeny Kaul!. You can see below my before-after makeup look and how beautifully sheeny blended the make-up on my skin. Again to compliment the outfit I wore black boots and pink earrings. Also I had a hell lot of fun clicking selfies and hanging out at SPACES lounge, it was inaugurated by Parineeti Chopra the same day, I have written a lookbook post on her outfit, If you haven’t checked it, check it now here: Rock The Look: Parineeti Chopra at Space Lounge.

DAY 5
I skipped day 4 at AIFWSS 2016 because of some important stuff to be done urgently and I greatly regret missing the shows. Â Anyway for the last day of AIFWSS 2016 I planned to keep my look ultra glam and all spiced up. After putting in a lot of thought into my look I finally picked up a white off shoulder dress and a pearl studded white blazer to go with it. As I started picking up pieces, the concept for the look started falling in place, by this time I knew how exactly I want to stylize my look. Now it was time for the accessories and I wanted something that could bring out the panache of my outfit so I paired the outfit with my same Forever 21 black gladiator sandals and Lavie black bag that I carried with me on day 1. To take the glam quotient high I added a pair of over sized ivory sunglasses from Opium, these sunnies are my absolute favorite nowadays and as I am heading to Goa soon this will be my on the go accessory. I stepped outta home with light make-up as I was to meet Sheeny for my make-up again at Maybelline New York Corner. Again she gave me new look. You can see in picture.
