“Hair doesn’t make the woman, but good hair definitely helps.”
We all love good hair days, don’t we? But the customary drill to make our hair look at its best all the time is a task in itself. I get asked a lot about my hair-care regime, the products I use, essentials hair oil etc. so I decided to start a section on hair care that is easy to comprehend and would help you all get the silk-shine hair you always wanted. We all know the multiple remedies to keep our hair healthy and lustrous but with numerous products, humongous hair care hacks we often do not find a way to start our hair care regime with. Today I will take you through the very first lesson of hair care i.e oiling. Oiling is essential to keep your locks nourished and healthy. This post will be all about essential natural hair oils for each hair type, different hair scalps and hair conditions. So, go on and find a perfect oil to pamper your hair.
Normal Hair: Lucky are those who have normal hair! Normal hair is neither too greasy nor dry. It is a perfect blend of texture and holds any product quite easily. Oil treatment of normal hair is a lot hassle free than any other hair type. Almost every type of hair oil can be applied to normal hair provided that it does not make hair look too greasy. Amla, Jojoba, Olive and Almond oil work best for this hair type.
Dry Hair: This is a type of hair that requires utmost attention. Dry hair lose its luster easily and get frizzy, they are very susceptible to split ends as well. Best hair oil to get rid of that unruly and unmanageable hair is undoubtedly Argan Oil. Argan is very rich in vitamin E and fatty acids and turn damaged dry hair softer and shinier. Other than Argan oil, Jojoba, Sesame, coconut, almond, cocoa butter oils also work well with dry hair.
Oily Hair: The amount of sebum produced by the sebaceous glands in the scalp is a lot more in Oily hair than any other hair type. This sebum makes the hair look very greasy. Thus the hair oil that nourishes the hair and limits the production of sebum is required for oily hair. Olive oil works wonder in this regard. It regulates the sebaceous gland and helps you tame your oily mane. Jojoba oil and Sesame oil also work fine.
Sensitive Hair Scalp: If you have a scalp which is easily irritated and is very sensitive to hair products, always go for hair oils with fatty acids, Vitamin C, G and proteins. A less known Kalahari Melon Seed Oil is one hair oil we swear on. Though the hair oil is not known to many and is scarcely available, it has some amazing reparative properties. It is very gentle on scalp and help reduce irritation and itching.
Dandruff: To halt the excessive dandruff on the scalp the best oil to try is the Tea-Tree Oil. It is jam packed with the goodness of antioxidants, proteins and other essential vitamins. Other oils worth trying are almond oil and coconut oil.
Hair Growth: Though there is no particular hair oil that promises to boost the hair growth but there are oils that can help hair grow a lot better and shinier that too in a small span of time. Oils rich in Vitamin A,D, E and F are the ones that help improve the texture of hair, nourishes hair and encourage hair growth.
