Pantene has managed to garner credibility amongst the audience of the country and has been successful so far in catering to its needs.
So today we review a product of Pantene’s, called Pantene Pro-V Oil Replacement, in terms of the following parameters:
Price:
Rs. 85/- for 80 ml; Rs. Rs. 150/- for 180 ml.
The product has been justly priced according to me.
In a world where everything is getting more and more expensive by the day, Pantene has managed to introduce a product that can be widely used by its audience without causing the budget crisis.
Packaging:
The product comes in a long golden tube with a flip cap.
Since there are two sizes, I decided to go with the 80ml one. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but is easily portable and can be stashed literally anywhere.
Product Description:
As the name suggests, since is it an Oil – replacement, it has a smooth and thick creamy consistency which glides well on the hair. The cream looks white in color and gets absorbed quickly without making hair oily or sticky.
How To Use:
- Rub a walnut size of it in between the palm of your hands.
- Starting from the top, distribute it evenly through your hair along the length. No need to rinse.
- Style your hair as usual.
What The Product Promises:
Pantene introduces Oil – Replacement to give our hair the multiple benefits of natural oil without the inconvenience. It nourishes the hair, reduces hair fall due to hair breakage, and helps repair the damage. It also acts as a final touch leaving hair soft and smooth.

What The Product Actually Offers:
My hair type is frizzy with a mildly coarse texture of mid length.
I applied the product on damp hair, as instructed in directions behind the package. Starting from the top, I applied the product till the bottom of my hair length.
How I ended up feeling was surreal in terms of fragrance. Because it is very important for your hair to smell amazing.
The creamy consistency easily got absorbed by the hair when applied evenly and did not at all give an oily look.
Styling the hair too became a comparatively easier task because the frizz had disappeared. Eventually one also realizes that it protects the hair from when we heat it or blow dry it.
My hair ended up feeling soft and voluminous.
However, no sudden change was seen in hair breakage. The hair breakage was the same.
It may provide nourishment to the hair strands but not enough to repair them permanently or stop the hair breakage completely.

My Recommendations:
This product should definitely be tried. It may give better results on a different texture of hair. But, there are equally better products in the market that can easily offset this one.
