6 Basic ways for physical and mental fitness!

Fitness is defined by overall well-being of a person including physical as well as mental health. In today’s scenario, we rely partially or wholly on technology for almost all our works which have caused several physical fitness problems such as obesity, blood pressure problems etc. as well as mental problems such as depression and hypertension. Here are some methods, which will help in the enhancement of both physical as well as mental.

1-Regular exercise

It is one of the simplest ways to control blood glucose level and maintain hormonal balance in the body. An adequate amount of hormones released in the body defines a person’s overall health condition.

2-Maintaining body mass index

According to medical research every person has unique body mass index which depends upon the height and weight of the person, if the BMI is below the defined value (mostly 18.5 is considered as good BMI for adults) then the person is said to underweight and if BMI is above the specified value the person is said to be overweight. Hence it is very important to maintain a good BMI for better physical health. A person with low BMI may suffer from fragile bones and weak immunity.

 

 

3-Intake of nutrition

It is very important to take proper nutrition for development of good physical and mental health. There is certain nutrition which directly affects the working of bones and muscles hence lack in that nutrition may lead to several diseases.

 

4-Increased intake of antioxidants

Due to environmental conditions and work pressure, there is an accumulation of free radicals in the body. These free radicals directly affect the functioning of the brain leading to several mental conditions. Hence it is very necessary to detoxify these radicals from the body. There are several food items which are rich in antioxidants, and intake of these food items will help in the elimination of free radicals from the body

 

 

5-Avoid junk food

Many working people and students rely on fast food and also they do not have sufficient time for exercise hence these food items are causing more harm to their body. Most of the junk foods help in the formation of free radicals hence it is very important to keep a check on the intake of junk foods if intake cannot be avoided.

 

 

6-Yoga

Though this method works slowly it helps to maintain both physical as well as mental health. Yoga can help in the maintenance of the hormonal balance of the body and also can help to keep several diseases away.
